Newsom robs bank to balance budget!
(Financier Ward Heckman held for ransom?)
(10-27-09)
Hey, 'Trauma' sucks. And, we want the new tv series to succeed because we're San
Franciscans and we love to see quality shots of the City skyline that we can come back
to 30 years from now just as we have done with 'Streets of SF' and other tv shows and
movies. How do we save it?
Well, by applying our own best skills. Mine is the ability to mock politicians
and cops and ... well, anyone really. But, I had this idea for a script for the
show if it is really going down the tubes. Dig it.
Budget and Finance
You call the episode 'Budget and Finance' and in the end you attribute it to a dream
that one of the paramedics had. There's precedent aplenty.
But, in the SF version the Mayor is trying to solve his budget deficit problems and his
advisers come up with the idea of robbing banks (who's gonna stop him?) and holding
rich citizens hostage (instead of the other way around).
Scenes:
1.Mayor using SFPD Swat teams to rob banks all over City while Trauma helicopters land
nearby to transfer the cash to City Hall where they land in Alioto Plaza across the
street.
1.A ransom of a half billion or more for any of a dozen local billionaires would be
nothing to them but would solve a year's budget problems.
C'mon, be honest. That's funny. Toss in the affair the EMT began with the
Mayor's wife in the opening episode of the series. Maybe make one of the pilots
into a vampire. Someone in the morgue is stealing bodies and selling their parts
to leading restaurants (gives new meaning for 'mystery meat'). Hey, what do the
producers have to lose?
Where was I?
Today's Full Board
You can't laugh away the increased irrelevance of the BOS since the Class of 2008
(their motto is: “Same house, same call!”) ... I just watched them doubling as the
Transportation Authority (Bevan Dufty at the gavel) this morning and they not only made
no comments as Bevan gave away millions to connected contractors but there was actually
only a single comment from someone in the audience for a dozen or so items (someone
thanking them for a contract).
The new Board doesn't know shit and they're arrogant at the same time. That's a
deadly combination.
You get Chris Daly writing a long piece in Luke Thomas' Fog City Jouranl today
criticizing the new top cop (George Gascon) for not coming down to Chris' office and
kissing the hem of his coat while Daly has refused comment on any of the cop related
things going down in his district (letting Gascon bring in outsiders? ... Power
Exchange? ... new District Captain?) ... D-6 doesn't have a representative at the BOS
now in my opinion.
Think I'm bullshitting you? Yesterday at City Operations and Neighborhood Services
(Chris is Vice Chair) well over 100 people testified about mostly night clubs in Daly's
district and he did not say a single mother fucking word. One way or the other. I
guess he was busy working on his piece attacking Theresa Sparks.
Today's Consent Agenda
The 'Consent Agenda' is a tool for letting supervisors get by without reviewing any of
the work done at committees or elsewhere. If he could, Board prez David Chiu would
put thermo-nuclear war there. Cause, after all, that's not something important
enough to give comment to. Especially if you haven't done any of your homework.
Item #1 Mirkarimi and Avalos take 1m from Public Finance war chest
Hey, they were just elected. They won't need it. Theresa Sparks won't need it
with her Downtown war chest. Dufty won't need it while swimming in Chamber of
Commerce cash. As I've said before, it's kicking away the ladder once you've made it
to safety and Ross and John are cowardly pricks for doing it.
Item #16 $150k for disaster relief for Philippines, Samoa and Indonesia
Three racist fat cat supes will vote against this (Chu, Elsbernd and Pier) and
everytime they run for office in the future the Filipino and Samoan and Indonesian
voters should be reminded of their refusal to offer even token support to their
countries of origin. Shit, Chu and Elsbernd fly to China every year and their
caravan spends lots more of that just to have fun.
Item #18 Who reports Juveniles to ICE?
I can't say as I've seen an item more universally lied about than this one. All of
the press except for me says that the Campos legislation requires a juvenile to be
“convicted” of a felony before being reported to ICE as a possible illegal alien.
The police chief was quoted as saying that cops had nothing to do with having juveniles
reported to ICE. Now, he's a smart guy and that's easily the dumbest lie he's told
since he hit town. Hey George, it's the cops who arrest the kid on the block and
decide that they want him deported and then go ahead and charge him with a felony even
if he was just having a beer with some bro's.
Read the friggin' legislation. All of you. It says nothing about any level of the
public safety apparatus needing a 'conviction' before they talk to ICE. I like the
legislation by the way. It doesn't shield MS-13 illegals as did the previous
process. The only one who ever did that was Gavin Newsom when he worked through
MOCJ/Police Commissioner David Onek to hide murderous gang bangers in country estates
and then fly them out of the country surreptitiously.
Items #19 thru #21? Buying a billion bucks in outdated utility meters
For Fiona Ma's boyfriend? A 10 year old can hack em? Funding from foreign cocaine
dealers? All true and it won't matter. Look for another billion buck request to
replace these things within 3-5 years.
#21 Funding for Stealth Cop Academy Class to overstaff SFPD
The class started 2 days before the department bothered to tell the BOS or the
Controller. And, it will result in an overstaffing of the SFPD for the first time in
their history. Don't worry guys and gals, they'll still demand overtime.
One thought. They're going after funding for 8 'Lateral Entry' positions. Can
Chief Gascon use these to bring in officers of his own choice from other jurisdictions?
Just trying to get past the hamstring job Daly and Mirkarimi did on George.
Item #42 Daly unifies Ireland after 900 years!
Chris might not pay attention to the issues within his own district anymore but he is
at the forefront of unifying Ireland. 900 years of war just waiting for the Duke
dropout to come and save the day. Hey, if Obama deserves a Nobel, so does Daly.
Niners
They should have held Crabtree to trade for 2 top draft picks and use them to pick up a
couple of offensive linemen. Only hopes they have now is to go to a shotgun
formation where the QB can run for his life or make some of their defense studs play 2
ways. I want to see the defensive end who can get past Patrick Willis.
Go Phillies!
